Bella Mbriana

🇬🇧 Bella ’Mbriana
is an important figure in Neapolitan folklore, blending superstition, respect for the home, and the warmth of tradition. She represents a legacy of ancient pagan cults devoted to the protective spirits of the domestic hearth.

Here she is depicted through the work of Master Marco Ferrigno, who is credited with having brought the Neapolitan nativity scene to the world through his workshop in Naples, on San Gregorio Armeno, opened in 1836. Over the years, royalty, artists, actors, and celebrities from every country have passed through it.
